I have a year old upside down catfish that within a day has grown about a half an inch and has gotten fat.wats up?

Probably a constipation issue actually. Try not feeding the fish for a day and them offer him fresh veggies such as a soften hulled pea of softened leafy greens like spinach or leaf lettuce.
It's also possible it's a swim bladder problem, but since you didn't mention swimming problems I would go with the constipation first.

hi, i've got self belief your catfish is starting to be older and doesnt have a ailment. I dont think of your catfish is encoutering any illnesses yet basically its age. If there's a ailment i might recommend phoning your close by petstore and tell them what's going on to your catfish. they'd have some education that can assist you and your catfish. If it doesnt have something incorrect with if yet purely the age. I recommend you commence praying for it to stay and luxuriate on your final minutes with it.

poor fish I had that problem once, I just went on a diet an lost the ten extra pounds I was able to turn upward again.
But I t think your fish is dummed sorry.

The bladder maybe ready to burst. A growth like that is not good. There isn't anything you can do about it, I am sorry. I have lost a couple betas this way.
