I can't get over how this story hurt me when it happened and hurts me to this day thinking about it.

What news story bothers you each time you read about it or think about it?

The one girl in Mn. who endured a life of sexual abuse, and was finally murdered by her mom and her moms boyfriend. She was scalded in a hot bath and died from her injuries. She was 10 or 11 if I remember correctly. P-i-s-s-e-d me right off, and saddens me to this day.

The challenger- it blew up a few days after my 6th birthday, and we were watching live at school. I could be 100 years old, and still remember that moment like it was yesterday.

I, strangely enough, also remember vividly, the central park jogger story, now better known as Trisha Meili, and I remember where I was when the story first came across the news in 1989 and where I was when I heard that she was giving up her anonymous identity and wrote a beautiful, heart felt story book entitled "I Am the Central Park Jogger."

9/11 because I lost a very dear friend, then I would say stories like Diane Downs in Oregon who claimed the bushy stranger did it... She was the one whom went on the drive at night time towards Marcola Oregon for site seeing for her 3 young children, uhuh.... any types of news where children are harmed in any way really bother me, I guess do to the fact that I have felt the loss of a child due to medical reasons, a child that I wanted so much in my life, and lost her... then those people who have choices but choose to do the wrong thing at the cost of the child and not them selves... well I'll stop there..

The Andrea Yates story gets me, I just don't understand how a mother could ever get to the point that she could kill her children. I know she had depression, so do I but I have never once thought about hurting my daughter. The thing that just tears my heart up is she killed 5 of her kids, did she not realize what she was doing after the first one. What kind of monster could do something like this. It really just bugs me and brings tears to my eyes every time there is another case of children being killed by the mothers. You see and hear about it almost everyday now.

THere are so many stories I hear on the news that haunts me. THe main one being here in my city. Last week a mother killed all five of her children by hanging them. THe youngest survived, she was just a eight months. Who would do something like that. That story really tears me up inside. Also the VT tragedy

Besides 9/11, the Adam Walsh story is still sad after all these years.
