i say give them money so that they can get a job. oneday my aunt said to me "if they can sit there all day begging for money, then they can go get a job". but i was thinking how can they get a job if they don't have the money to buy clean clothes to go to the job interview in. it's not always the poor person's fault that they're living that way. so i say give money to them ^_^

To answer you question you have to say what kind or poor people you mean.
Then, the answers would be easy to find.
I help with 30euro every month a Philippinas family cause the situation there is very difficult, and even if you have a work you often be payed not enough to survive your family in those countries, so you have to ask money.
I'm sure my money reaches them and be used for their needs, so I think in this case it's a good thing.
But I don't give anything to people who asks standing near the trafficlights cause the most of the times they just don't want to work, and there is no excuse about having the permission to stay here (I live in Italy) cause it's quite easy to work without paying taxes.
Are these examples enough clear? However, that's only my opinion...

There are some people that are poor and try to work and just can't do much better.
The ones that are poor that don't work they are the ones that I tell them , "I can't give you money but I know where you can get a job" they immediately turn and walk awayâ¥j

Dont think that all those who ask money they are really in need.It is their way either to survive, either to make money easy, because they dont want to go to work. And i have to add, that this is a bad habit, we used them to be like that out of the supermarkets etc.
Many people have made properties by this way.
Be sure,t hat there are families with dignity, who are really in need, and who never ask, they just try to rase up their children, in order to have a better future, by cleaning stairs, and by doing all kinds of work...These are the heros of the everyday life..

This may come as a surprise, to you, but a lot of poor people, do work, and unless you know a person's situation, you shouldn't judge. However as for someone who is healthy who is content, to sit on his or her ***, no, and you have heard, of a disability? Does that, answer your question?

I dont believe that money should just be "given" to anyone....Rich or poor....Everyone should have to work for what they have and anything that they want.Although, there are people that are less unfortunate and work their *** off and see no results.Thoose people I feel bad for:)_ I am far from rich, but I would never feel good about myself accepting handouts from anyone.I have worked hard for what I have and I am proud of myself:)_
YOU HAVE BEEN STARRED:)_

We should not give them money as long as they can work.
We should not ASK them to work. They know that....
We better help them to FIND a job.

Tell them where a shelter or soup kitchen if they seem mentally ill. If they are addicts beware. They are possessed and will steal from their mother.
