Billy Joel has been caught drunk driving numerous times, even crashing into a tree, isn't he more of a danger to people? No one in the media crucifies him, also Vince Neil from Motley crue killed his friend while driving drunk and he only spent 30 days in jail, how could you kill a person and do the exact same time as Paris?
I find it sexist.

I don't find it sexist. I find the others typical of the celebrity-in-awe-easy-to-buy-off-if-you-have-the-money judicial system is a joke in this country. In all cases (and probably hundreds every day) you pointed out the punishment wouldn't have been handed down to you and me. But we can't afford the attorneys and contributions to judge's campaigns like the wealthy can.

Why didn't they investigate Ted Kennedy's accident? Oh because Mary Jane's parents were paid handsomely and the body buried (I know they can exhume but not without parent's approval) with in 48 hours of finding her body.

Why didn't OJ go to jail? Because his team of lawyers made sure the case would go months and the only people available to serve on jury weren't your sharpest knives in the drawer.

Why why why why why why why why why. We can ask till the cows come home but the only reason is money talks and the rich walk.

If we had an honest fair judicial system we wouldn't be talking about things like this.

And if you think Paris is going to serve even her 23 days I've got a bridge here in NY to sell you.

You have to start somewhere. Paris was just a spoiled little brat who pushed the judicial button one to many times, I'm pretty sure that she was probably gloating after she strolled from the jail station the first time. Besides she has a private Dr. she'll be cruising those days away in a sweet halcyon haze due to Valiums and some choice opiates. I got in trouble when I was young and made the mistake of telling the guard I was claustrophobic and couldn't take the little gray room they had me in, so they moved me to an even smaller one with white walls. After 60 days I couldn't wait to get out and haven't been back since.

I am not so sure that it is sexist, but may be a reaction to how popular she is. I also think that the circumstances were a little different. I don't think she actually gor a DUI, but a reckless driving charge, she says that she only had one drink and that she was tired. She also snubbed the courts twice by driving without a valid license. She would not be in jail if she had played ball with the legal system in the first place. Same with Martha Stewart. I think it is ridiculous for either one of them to be incarcerated, but they cannot lie and thumb their noses. I think their arrogance did them in.

I really don't think it's sexist. I'm pretty sure that the courts wanted to show people that no one is above the law, and obiovusly Paris Hilton is a good example of someone who would weasle her way out of it. Plus, I think the judges in these cases nowadays are making sentances that will get them media attention.

She desires to do her time and he or she is in solitary confinement because of the fact of her own action picture star. She does not would desire to be there. Heck, she does not would desire to be in penitentiary era! On our information final evening, they interviewed numerous people who basically have been given out of cook County (Chicago) penitentiary after having served around 30-40 days in penitentiary for the comparable offense as Paris. None of them stated they have been given any particular scientific care or attention and that they have got been incredibly disenchanted to be in penitentiary too, far flung from their families and homes. a number of them additionally had wellbeing circumstances, yet they did not get released early. If Paris Hilton replaced into your wide-unfold American working a 9-5 interest, might she are turning out to be any of this actual scientific care? i actually do not think of so. that's what maximum individuals are outraged over. in the event that they are going to grant her the alternative of serving her sentence below residing house confinement, that would desire to be an determination available to all people.

Even though I'm a boy and you probally won't pay attention to me, i don't think that this situation is not sexist. I think that Billy Joel just pushed and pushed that people don't want to deal with drunken driving anymore. It's not that Paris is a girl.

It could be that he was not as drunk her and the killing was not proven. Also, as much as I don't want to see her in jail, her drunk driving was not the problem. She also refused to pay the fine and did not show up in court the first time, and the second time she showed up late.

No, not sexist, just another example of what you can do with money and celebrity status in todays society. true not all celebs are treated the same but by far they are treated better overall because they can pay for it, many less fortunate arent even a one line mention in the media and suffer far worse outcomes for there crimes because theres no money in helping them. which list would fetch more dollars ,list of celebs and there court appearances,or list of john and jane does court appearances?

No its not sexist. She didnt just drink and drive, she did it with a bad attitude and defied the law. 17 celebrities have had dui charges in the past year alone and been charged for it. We just didnt hear much about it because none of them threw tantrums and got dolled up for their mug shots.

there is no love for Paris
she has no talent
she is a spoiled rich brat with no sense of community and respect for the law..
and so she got what she deserves
when ( and hopefully ) Nicole Ritchey and Lindsey Lohan get their turn it will not be sexest when they get their come uppence
