Is it because they are unhappy with their spouse? because they are unhappy with themselfs? like the attention? what is your take on why people cheat........no i'm not cheating nor is my hubby just a general question. I did once live ith a cheater i think he did it because he was a retard and immature.

I think people cheat because they married someone they don't love. If you loved that person, you would never, ever cheat on them! That's why, in my humble opinion, if anybody is cheating, it should be a dealbreaker. You should only be married to someone that you really love and someone that loves you back.

Cheating is an act of selfishness.
It all about how they feel.
I believe many people cheat as an escape from their own lives. Picture it: you have money and/or children problems. Every day people are counting on you make things better. Day in and day out your role is to keep everything in control with no sign of improvement. Then one day you get a little thrill when one guy/gal looks at you and all the problems are gone for that moment. You have just escaped from your life! Then your responsibilities come back. If you had a choice between a boring exhausting day to day life or a chance of what feels like heaven which would you pick?
The thing that people discover later is that over time the responsibilities find you even in this new world and your new world start to turn into your old world and then you realize nothing has changed and all you did was cause a lot of pain and gained nothing in return, but a few memories that aren't as shiny as they once were.

1) Immature
2) Bored
3) Married for the wrong reasons.
4) Unhappy in marriage.
5) Think they can get away with it.
6) Love the excitement.
7) Love the danger.
8) Mid life crisis.
9) Unhappy with their spouse.
10) Unhappy with their career.

They are only concerned with themselves. I've never met a cheater who had the best interest of others in mind. They may say unhappy with spouses, but the truth is no one can make you happy. Happiness comes from within. You make a choice to be happy, just like you make a choice to cheat. Cheaters suck-they ruin families-it should be a felony if you cheat on your spouse when children are involved.

People cheat because of the high they get when they get away with it and you don't catch them. I think it is just the animal in people, when one cheats and gets real nervous coming home and hoping that you aren't there, yet. They turn down the block you aren't home yet, they get a real thrill , that boy I made it home again without getting caught., your hands are sweaty , your heart is in your throat and they aren't there and you treat them so much nicer than usual when they walk in. I guess trying to pay them back for not catching you. It is a big thrill, but if you turn that block and that car is there , you just keep going and call home and tell them your are running a little late, do you need me to pick up anything. It is just big thrill not getting caught, you feel you have accomplished something real big

I think people cheat because they are insecure in their current relationships, or because they want to always have the upper hand. Perhaps they are protecting themselves...they may just meet someone new and have feelings for two people. The issue there is, they need to make a decision. This is where people get into trouble. They want to have the main course...and the side dish!

I believe that thereis noumerous reasons on why a mate cheats on the other but the main reason in every realionship is that they like the forbidden things is just life we are all human beings with out those peoples mistakes we wouldnt have no idea what to expect.

People cheat for a number of reasons. Some of what you stated and probably many more! I personally think that they are bored in their relationship or lacking something fundamental to them and they like the excitement involved with seeing someone on the side.
It's not right, but that's how I see it.

They think they are bored and that the grass on the other side looks greener....they are being selfish and forgetting that they are already taken...hey I am not against someone for falling out of love but get a divorce before you bring a total stranger into a situation that they shouldnt even be involved.
