Does anybody know how much longer these stupid ciadas are supposed to be around for?

Um, well the sun will last about 5 billion more years, so give or take a few hundred millions years. Id say about 4.85 billion years after you're dead.

Different species of cicada have different periods underground. While some species have a seventeen year cycle, others have much shorter cycles and so we see cicadas every year. They are a summer insect that provide food for millions of birds and small carnivores.

they wont be around long. from the time the rise from the dirt i think they have like 2 weeks to live. then they will mate and die. they are also a great feast for a variety of animals.
dont owrry they wont be around long then you wont have to see them for another 15+years

Well my uncle told me. They have 2 more weeks to live. I've never seen any in Skokie, but when I go West, there are tons of them. I just caught 10 of them today.

A few more weeks. They only come around every 17 years. Enjoy them while you can.
