The ball joints are relatively cheap. The most expensive part is taking it into the shop, or if your a experienced mechanic you can do it at home but it can be dangerous. I figure here its $45 a hour for cheap labor so probly about 200-300 bucks to replace the joints? It can be more expensive if you go to a Suspension only shop.

Are you sure you have ball joints, you may have a strut type front end not an A frame front end. If you indeed have struts, wait for a major tire and front end company to have a sale on them and you will save a bunch. By the way, ball joints cost about $30.00 each and you will get charged about 2 hours labor whatever the local rate is. In my area of California that varies from $75 to 100 per hour, bringing in the job at around $260.00 Struts are another story, a bit more money per strut, but about the same labor charge. Good luck!

You cut the rivets out and replace with bolts new GM ball joints are $89 dollars each Aftermarket Joints are less. Labor should include a four wheel alignment. So add 99 dollars for alignment and 99.00 for replacing the two ball joints. any good front end mechanic can do this job Pep Boys Midas or Good repair shop or adventurious owner mechanically inclined with a air hammer and chisel bit.
