ok,
As some people know that j.k. rowling is going to be a little selfish. And kill harry in one of her books. My friends and i ( we are not nerds!) want to continue are own story of harry potter can you give me some ideas to continue the book.
i would really appericiate that. If you dont know anything about harry potter you can still answer though.

Maybe you could do a spin off in Neville's point of they like was suggested .. only do it if Voldemort had choosen Neville instead of Harry..and how everything would be different!

How about...

Harry kicked some Voldie-butt, and defeated all the deatheaters, and now plays Seeker for.. any team of your choice, and he should play well, mind...
And he should get all the latest brooms - Blazerok or Hurricane or whatever you might wanna call it...

How about Harry travels back to the night his parents dies, and hides under the invisibility coat. He was between himself as a baby and Voldie but Voldie's too stupid to notice. And its Harry Potter of the present that produced the "flash of green light"; he kills Voldemort - the curse never backfired, harry himself produced the Avada Kedavra curse. And voila, Harry once again saves himself - not something he's new to.

Baby Harry escaped with only a scar bcz part of Voldie's soul entered it accidentaly. And by the time Dumbledore was there, Harry was waiting over his parent's corpses. He tells Dumbledore that the his last relatives are the Dursleys.

But Dumbledore's confused - and Harry tells him "When the time is right, you will understand, Professor. But for now, I have to leave. I don't have much time." Ha! take that Dumbledore! You're not the only one who knows to be mysterious!

Hi, the thing about fan fiction is that the stories are all about Harry and Co. It will be a waste of time writing another one. You have got to go in a new direction, something that sets you apart. My three sugestions are:
1. A "Young Dumbledore" series- if he really is dead, a series about his past would be read by fans as they wouldn't be getting anything else about him from Deathly Halllows.
2. A "Marauders" series, as you could use the basic character templates of the current three heroes to start with, as they are very similar to each other- James is the same as Harry,
Lupin is a male Hermione and Sirius is similar to Ron.
3.A series about the 4 founders of Hogwarts. Throughout the Potter series, JKR has given us a vague idea of what the founders were like and what happened to them, but nothing specific. If there was a story about them, I would read it at once!

Actually, J.K. Rowling never said she is going to kill off Harry. She said someone will die, but by no means has it been established. Maybe you should wait until July 21st and find out. And if you're going to write a continuation, you might want to start looking into Scholastic, Bloomsbury, and J.K. Rowling signing over the copyrights to you.

You can't just take someone else's characters and make them your own... not unless you buy the rights to Harry Potter (unless you're a multi-millionaire, I doubt you could do it), or if you wait 70 years after JK Rowling's death, when the rights are free.

So, I guess you have a really long time to think about it, while you're making money or ticking off the years after she dies.

In the meantime, you can put up works of fanfiction on http://www.fanfiction.net where you can join the thousands upon thousands of people who have the same goal as you do.

She has said that she is going to kill off one or two more major characters. She has not said if she is going to kill off Harry. So you are just guessing if Harry will die in the last book. J.K has also said that she does not want to write another book about Harry, so if she killed him off there could not be anymore books or movies, so she could very well kill harry off, but we will all have to wait till the new book is out to find out.

You should do a Harry-Ginny Romance. JK Rowling has to keep the books PG on that sort of thing so you could do some detail on their love life.

i really love harry potter too but it wouldn't be the same coming from another author and frankly i wouldn't read it, but if you are truly interested in that...and harry dies...
1) do it from him looking down from heaven upon earth
2) from ron/hermione/ginny's views
3) from a death eater/voldemorts(if he isn't dead) view
4) do a life of the dead with harry/his parents/cedric/sirius/dumbledore....
5) have malfoy become the new dark lord and ron/hermione/ginny have to fight him
