Early marriage is still the norm in many parts of the world. Early marriage usually leads to early motherhood. In many developing countries, at least 20 per cent of women—in some countries about half of all women—give birth to their first child before age 18. Expectations from parents, in-laws and society are to produce a child as soon after marriage as possible. Many young wives feel pressure to bear sons. This typically results in pregnancies being spaced too closely together, in addition to occurring too soon in the young mother’s life.

Early life pregnancies have almost as much risks as those of older mothers. There is a greater risk of miscarriage and birth defects in mothers pregnant before 16 and after 40.
There is also the problem of reproductive systems and other body systems not being fully matured. The female body continues to mature to 18 years, so before that its not fully developed. The younger the mother, the more chances of a prolonged labor, requiring a Cesarean birth, due to too narrow birth canal. Or Stillbirth could result. There is also greater chance of developing a fistula, a tear in the tissue between the vagina and the anus, resulting in complete loss of control over bowel and bladder, leading to social isolation and continued health problems. This can only be repaired surgically, and requires every subsequent birth to be a Cesarean, or further tearing occurs.
And the risk of osteoporosis increases as bone mass had not had the chance to develop to best degree before there was calcium depletion due to pregnancy.
Then there is the emotional and social development that is stunted by too early motherhood. Although there tends to be a larger extended family networks, in those countries where early marriage is the norm, which can help the young mother cope. There is still the change in status from child to mother.
And those that are "encouraged" to have multiple early pregnancies, especially after a miscarriage are at greater risk of permanent damage to the reproductive systems.
To sum up, early pregnancy (pre 18 years) can leave life long health problems for the mother, so should be discouraged.

How about depression, as the young mother could feel "overwhelmed" by so many children who are close in age? And you mention the "pressure" put on by family members--what about dealing with this, especially if it is by the in-laws, who may feel that the daughter-in-law is not "doing right" for their son and grandchildren? That is an awful lot to bear.

Marriage is definitely an historic ritual surrounding the enterprise of the family members unit biologically. So the only ingredient i'm able to declare is that if 2 friends intend to enhance offspring, yet are incapable of producing their very own easily adopting is the final thank you to pass. The question right this isn't any longer approximately marriage, yet approximately incest. Incest is the two psychologically and bodily risky. although the effects of a actual relationship with a cousin are no longer comparable to with a sibling, progenitor, or progenitor's sibling for one obvious reason, the genetic counsel has been thoroughly altered by making use of the creation of mentioned inlaw's DNA mixed which includes your aunt or uncle to offer your cousin. it incredibly is attainable to offer healthful offspring with a typical cousin, even though it incredibly isn't any longer suggested simply by fact the reason of start defects among the little ones of incest mom and dad is with the help of a loss of genetic version. Survival has geared up this mechanism into our genetic code as a manner to create genetic version simply by fact the norm for our species. Its a count number of positive judgment. simply by fact of this even having little ones with a cousin is now seen Taboo.

Depending on how early the marriage is, there is increased chance of STDs (including HIV/AIDS), cervical cancer, and later infertility. Additionally young wives have "few social connections, restricted mobility, limited control over resources, and little power in their new households" as well as greatly reduced chances for education, even in developed countries.

Statistically this is MEN having sex with girls. It hurts the girls, a lot, in many ways.

Early pregnancies have increased risk for poor health of babies, including long term problems as well as death at birth for mother, infant, or both. Babies and mothers from child marriages are LESS likely to survive or have healthy normal lives. One maternal risk is obstetric fistula, described in grusome detail in one of the links below.

That's very interesting, because my visits to Texas with my children would make older women utter the words, "God gave children to the young."

Our ancestors felt it a necessity to pass on their sons to control the land. As far as my Spanish ancestors on my mother's side, women also had the same land rights as men.

My conclusion is that early marriage and breeding is lack of education. Especially in poorer countries.

Having children is better at a younger age than an older age, mainly because as the man and woman age, their ability to reproduce healthy babies declines.
