My 17th great-grandmother was Mary, Queen of Scots. My 16th great-grandfather was James I. My 14th great-grandfather was Charles I. My 15th great-grandfather was Charles II. My 14th great-grandfather was James II, and my 13th great-grandfather was William III.

Impossible - I assume it was a typo that you've mixed up 14th and 15th. Firstly James II was the brother of Charles II not his son.

Secondly, William III never had children and he also wasn't the son of James II - his wife - Mary II was James II's daughter. But William and Mary (the only truly joint Monarchy in Britain) never had children and after William III's death (Mary died before him) the throne was inherited by Mary's sister Anne. She also died without an heir (all her children died before her) and the throne passed to the House of Hanover.
