right when i step out of the shower it comes back right away. and when i go to sleep it goes away and when i get up and get ready it starts again. is this normal?

It doesn't stop, it's less noticeable in the shower because of the water running down your body. When lying down it doesn't flow out of your body as well as it does when you are standing up. If you use a menstrual cup as opposed to pads, you would see that you continue to have your period even while sleeping. http://www.divacup.com

It doesn't "go away". The flow is not constant at any time. Some women have lighter flow at night; others have heavier flow at that time. It's all normal.

yupp it happens to me to...i wish i could just stay in the tub for a whole 3 days that i am on...it stops when i go to sleep and starts as soon aas i get out of the bed..it makes me really mad

yup same thing here girl. i think that happens to all women
well i think it normal i once asked my big sis about it she said
it happens to all and said that its perfectly normal so dont worry

yes.
it happens to most people when they get in water.
like when their swimming or showering.
it is normal. not to worry
