Okay. Two weeks ago, I had very light bleeding, which lasted about 3-4 days. I thought it was possibly the beginning of my period, but it just stopped. Three days ago, the light bleeding started back up again. It was light brown blood the first day, then red the second day. I was told that it might be implantation bleeding, but it is highly unlikely that I am pregnant. However just to be sure, I took a pregnancy test today and it came up negative. (My periods are always 5 days long, heavy on the first day, then lighter the rest of the time.) I'm afraid there might be something wrong with me...my body doesn't usually act like this. Has anyone had similar things happen or have any ideas? Thanks everyone, I appreciate it.

Certain kinds of infections such as with the cervix can cause the kind of bleeding that you describe. I have had first hand experience with this kind of bleeding due to infections.

I would recommend that you get in touch with your dr to see what they think is going on.

my sister had the same thing...and still does. she's 18..and it started around her 16th birthday. it was lack of estrogen in her body. even though it may be embarassing to talk about it to your doctor... ask him about it and he'll tell you if it is or not. its nothing very serious, but you could possibly loose a little bit of your curves (what happened to my sister :). youll probably end up put on birth control pills... if it turns out it is..just to regulate your periods.

Brown blood is old blood don't worry. But if you want to you can just check with the doctor.
