I worked 37 1/2 hours but he only paid me for 37. Doesn't he have to pay me for all time worked?

i came in late, and choose to work through my lunch, so that i wouldn't lose out on too much pay. Our handbook doesn't state that we have to take a lunch, but even after i wrote in "no lunch" he still took out another half an our. doesn't he have to pay me for all time worked?

If company policy states that you are to take a 30 min lunch and that it will automatically be deducted then yes they can take it if you are unsure though about policy then you need to ask your boss.

He has to provide you with a lunch break - but doesn't have to pay for it if you choose to work through it. If he required you to do it - then of course he has to pay you for it!
