I no of no university worth anything that does not have college chemistry as a gateway prerequisite to zoology/biology. I am a zoologist and I took chemistry. You need chemistry, so buck up and do it.

I recommend having it to some level. Just reading through a couple of web prospecti, they prefer you to have chemistry A-level. I think you may be able to have just an AS level, but check universities for their requirements. Good luck!

So longs you take a science subject that should be fine, esp biology. Im sure I knew someone that did zoology that got in without doing chem.

Biology today is often called biochemistry.

You will need chemistry to be a biologist.
