They say it's wrong to execute a murderer who poses immense threat to the lives of innocent people, but it's OK to abort (murder) an innocent baby. It's hypocrisy in its purest form!

2 I love my Jeffy boy...

What makes you think I supported the war in Iraq? You have just demonstrated you stereotypical reasoning: just because I'm conservative on abortion/capital punishment issues, you have concluded that I'm a war-loving right-wing nut. So much for rational logical thinking! I suggest that you shut the hell up and stop making such absurd comments.

So than you would have to admit that the reverse is also hypocrisy. The death penalty in unnecessary when you can simply sentence a convict to life w/out parole. I thought ALL life was sacred. Not just when politicians say it is.

Number one, let's not get away from the issue here, Yahoo! Answers is a place for people to state their opinions on matters and if you do not want their opinion, do not post a controversial question. If you do not like an answer, a simple tumbs-down rating gets the point across.
Back to the issue at hand. I am a liberal, yet i do not consider myself a HYPOCRITE (You miss-spelled it in the question) I believe in ridding the US of the death penalty and i believe in the right for a women to choose whether or not to abort a baby.
A good arguement for abortion is a book based on real life events, A Child Called It. About an abused child who is forced to go through a living hell because the mother never wanted "It." No child should be put through a life where they are un-loved and un-cared for; That is, afterall, where we get our terrorists, serial killers/rapists, and murderers.
I do not believe we should have the right to send a person to Death's Row- to an extent. A study has came out recently detailing how many innocent people have been given a lethal injection, electric chair, or any other number of variations of the death penalty. The number was in the tens of thousands. TENS OF THOUSANDS. 10,000+ innocent people were killed by something they did not do.
My view on the death penalty will remain the same until we can prove that the person actually did it, beyond ANY doubt, because while a jury of our peers was essential in the times of overly-corrupt power-hungry medievil times, it is more cynical and unbelieving now to the point that most people are guilty-until-proven-innocent thanks to our over-zealous tv news system.
However, on the flip side of this arguement, a convicted serial killer where there was sufficent DNA, medical, and physical evidence should not be exempt for a proper punishment, such as the death row would be.
The problem with America today is that we refuse to listen to each other, so take some time, read my words- and listen if nothing else.
Thank you for your time.

i'm undecided how "Catholic Fundies" have been given to be in the final couple solutions, incredibly on the grounds that Catholicism and Evolution have been at the same time in the information those days, yet then i'm getting to respond to so that is all sturdy. what's "Liberal black Magic"? i would be unable to challenge a wager as to the main factors or geography of hell nor am I consigning absolutely everyone to it. the reason i've got self belief in hell is with the aid of the fact i would be unable to settle for that evil basically not exists. i'm not talking approximately any particular 'sin' of any form as quickly as I say that. the place, in case you have self belief in a hereafter, could an unrepentant mass assassin bypass? If the question is principally your first or your final then i visit scoot over on my bench and make room for you. we are able to work out whilst we get there.

Incorrect. Liberals are definitely against killing innocent babies. Pro-choicers simply don't consider a fetus to be a baby. Considering that it needs the mother's resources to live, a fetus is really more like a parasite than a person. Once it reaches approximately the 3rd trimester when the fetus could live outside the womb and seems to develop "consciousness", that's when liberals think it should be considered equivalent to a baby. It's a perfectly logical thought process.

I think it's more of a case-by-case scenario. You can't say ALL liberals are pro-choice or pro-death penalty (just as you can't say all Conservatives are pro-life / anti-death penalty. And the people who think pro-choice is they way to believe probably don't see an abortion as a baby. They probably only see a clump of cells and with removing a clump of cells, it's not murder, it just removing a clump of cells.

Just playing devils advocate, but your question was kind of a general sweeping statement....

That's where the problem comes in though. You say Aborting a fetus is murder, whereas many pro-choice people don't think so. To me its like comparing apples and oranges.

I see your logic, I just don't agree with it.

Can't you reverse that logic? And then add the fact that infant mortality is on the rise, thus killing 1 in 4 babies in the South, more for African Americans. So couldn't we say Conservatives are the real baby killers? They kill babies in much more subversive and despicable ways.

Lets not get into the fact that most people who oppose abortion favor the death penalty. *rolls eyes*

Forgiving a criminal might be something Christ would do.

They have NO problem with killing innocents. That's why terrorists appeal to them so much! Terrorists get away with killing grown up innocents! Liberals WISH so much that THEY could do this. This is why Jack Kevorkian gets a hug from a huge liberal media type AFTER he gets released from jail. Now, Dr. Kevorkian is no terrorist. He is killing people who WANT to die, but killing someone who wants to die doesn't justify the actions.

I believe Republicans are the true hypocrites when
they cry a fetus is a human being but are ok with
killing Iraqi civillians...even their pregnant women...

So its wrong to kill a American fetus but ok to
kill a Iraqi fetus...twisted logic indeed!
