I just got my transmission flushed and it's somtimes getting stuck in 2nd.When I put it in neutrel or stop and take off slowly it will usually shift right.Should I change the filter? Drain the oil and add transx? Any ideas of what it could be or how to trouble shoot it?

I would drop the pan and change the filter and fluid again and add a bottle of Lucas transmission fix to it before you fill it completely, the stuff is amazing, it has worked for me 2 out of 2 times on a slipping transmission, it will free valves up that are sticky, try it, what have you got to loose?.

Did it do this BEFORE you had your transmission flushed?

I'm just curious.

I've heard stories second hand about someone not having any problems what so ever, but they decide to have their transmission flushed because someone else said it was a good idea.

Then, afterward, the transmission decides to screw up on them.

I've got 212,000 miles on my 1991 Chevy 2500 truck and never flushed my tranny, and it still works fine.
I'm afraid that if I do have the fluid changed or something it will mess up on me.

Looks like you get to visit the transmission shop for a rebuild.

I really hate to be a dick, but you do NOT own a 1996 Silverado.

You own a Chevy 1500 pickup with the Silverado trim package.

all flushing does is stir up all the impurities in the oil pan causing the tranny filter to PLUG. thus shift problems.
