and spotted something on the floor that the vacuum cleaner has already tried to pick up fourteen times.

Do you pick up the offending piece, examine it and then put it back on the floor to give the cleaner another go?

Yes, and if the Hoover fails to get it after the last bout of examination and disposal on the floor, I end up throwing it in the trash....Which means the vaccuum sucks by not sucking...

It's not just me then.
I always empty the ashtray on the floor and hoover that as well.Don't know why I don't just put it in the bin,'cos 9 times out of 10 the butts just 'ping' all over the floor as the hoover tries to pick them up,lol

Yea, I never throw it away either I always put it back on the floor for the vacuum.

Yes I am that kind of fool.I once found 400 under the carpet that i had hidden and forgotten about and I was skint when I found it..My only happy hoovering memory

No...the female in us puts it in the bin after the 2nd attempt...only a man would leave it for fourteen times, then pick it up examine it and put it back down again.....

Yes and I don't give up 'til it's all picked up ,after all thats what I bought my vacuum for , It would be quicker just to pick it up but I don't give up easy !!!!!!!

I pick it up and feed it to the hoover
