I would say the Cubs. They've played much better than their record indicates and they always seem to play well enough to lose by one or two runs. Some of their star players like Soriano and Zambrano are finally playing to their potential.

The White Sux on the other hand have underachieved all year in every category and play against tougher teams like the Indians and Tigers. And also they have to play Cubs this week and they'll probably get spanked again like they did at Wrigley.

The Cubs are starting to plug up their leaks. With Pie in CF and platooning in RF, the outfield is looking much better.
A healthy Sean Marshall maybe the answer to 5th starter.
Marmol is also shoring up the pitching staff. Koyle Hill may be more of a help than most people realize although none of the catchers look like Hundley.

The White Sox are going nowhere. This is a sub .500 team on paper and on the field. They traded some good players and got little in return.

Give Pinella a little time and those girly boy Brewers will fold like cheap suits.

OK, first of all, I am a HUGE White Sox fan!!! I shall love them forever.

But to the question, I'm sorry Sox fans but the Cubs will end up with the better record. Just look at their division???

Milwaukee----- (34 wins - 29 losses)
St. Louis-------- (27 wins - 33 losses)
Chicago-------- (27 wins - 34 losses)
Houston--------- (26 wins - 36 losses)
Pittsburgh------ (26 wins - 37 losses)
Cincinnati----- -(25 wins - 39 losses)

Pretty crappy division...

When you look at the Sox division...

Cleveland------ (37 wins - 24 losses)
Detroit---------- (36 wins - 26 losses)
Minnesota----- (30 wins - 31 losses)
Chicago-------- (27 wins - 32 losses)
Kansas City--- (24 wins - 40 losses)

It will be tough for the Sox to stay over .500 in that division. The Sox don't have a bullpen and what happened to their hitting??? Luis Terrero looks good but thats the only positive out of their hitting. If the Sox aren't in it, they should trade away Buehrle and Dye because they are free agents at the end of the year.

The answer is obvious. Of course the Sox will finish with a better record. Who cares about the numbers? The Scrubs have been playing way above their ability and will be lucky if they even finish 10 games under 500. There only hope is if they switch to a women's league. Maybe then they would have a chance.

I would say the Cubs, mostly because they play in one of the weakest divisions, if not the weakest. The AL Central is one of the better divisions so it will be pretty hard for a team with mediocre talent to have a good year.
