I take metformin for PCOS. It is the generic for Glucophage. Becise PCOS is an insulin resistant Disease They put you on it regulate your insulin. I am also on Yaz to regulate my period. I tried a few different BC's but that seemed to help me the most. Because of the insulin resistance it is also harder to loose weight. With the other BC's i was on they didnt seem to help me loose. But with the metformin and yaz i feel a lot better.

I am not but I have many friends that are. Metformin is not for weight loss or PCOS specifically, but rather more to help you regulate your blood sugars.

When I was first diagnosed with PCOS I went to a chat area specifically for PCOS and that helped me. Back then it was PCOS.org, but I think it is something else now. Try googling it.
