Obviously you've never seen my car.However, If I had a newer car,.I'd hope the car alarm was really annoying and would scare them off. Because, even though I should either take a picture or call 911 on my cell phone, I'd probably just freeze and not even think about screaming fire or using my phone.

holla HEY, get away from there you blah blah, and say the cops are on thier way....if you are alone and noone else is in the parking lot and its dark, turn around dont say anything and go call the cops

You don't say anything, you hit the alarm on your key button and call the cops and hope like hell he doesn't steel your car...
