It was distributed to the social needs first and to acquire necessary products for the community. Some part of it was taken by the central government.

There was no profit. Kolkhozes and sovkhozes had to sell their products to the state for a fixed prize. Part of that income was payed by the farm to the workers as a share or products (kolkhoz) or a wage (sovkhoz), the rest was to cover production costs. The state sold the products for a higher price, and kept the difference as a (major) source of income.

there was very little profit, because every one was paid equally there was no incentive to work harder than neccesary it wasn't untill the people were alowed to keep some of the excess that the people started to work.

as for where it went, these were in communist countries the government gets everything
