All the kidnappings, rapes, kiddy porn, pedophiles and anything else that has to do with children...just shows me I need to be even more careful then I am. I could honestly care less about anything else. My kids are my #1 priority and everything else comes after.

I dont think any outside event could change the way I look a t the world it's the internal events that affect my perception.
Nothing that happens in the outer world surprises or shock me really but peoples intense reactions to to it sometimes surprises me.

I remember Beirut, the Munich plane hijacks and train hijacks in the Netherlands and Aldo Moro's kidknapping. There were language riots and violent supermarket robberies. But most profound was seeing the footage of Sadat being shot. '81 I think it was, i was a teenager and never managed to get my head around someone being shot for talking.

It was after the news, on a weather report when the presenter mentioned briefly that 5,000 people had died in a heatwave in India.

Showed me that the most important things that go on in the world don't make the headlines.

None.. All countries have suffered in so many different ways. I watch and listen and observe on how the media sends messages out to the world.

9/11 for me. Just couldnt believe what i was seeing, and felt very unsafe afterwards. We were on holiday in Turkey at the time, I needed two bottles of wine to get over the shock. Didnt know if we could fly home at first, then was just glad to land safely, and hibernate for a while.

The destruction of the Berlin wall, I grew up in the 70's and we always seemed to be close to a nuclear war.

the way this government has let all these immigrant`s in and has lost total control of the situation.
i.e crime gone up
tax gone up
hospitals bursting at the seams
can`t look after our own because of these dirty foreigner`s
and in some places I`ve seen signs no white zone.
This country is ruined..!!

i like reading about whats happening with our planet...

but the thing thats changed they way i look at things is all these rapes, murders and kidnappings! It makes me wary when i go out!
Where i live the crime rate is low but when there's drunken yobs about in the parks then im still cautious!!

The hatred that has evolved from two Drs making a bad judgement. Heaven forbid they must be perfect at all times. The envy over the fund and general evny about the way the parents heve conducted themselves. Hideous
