Get a " 2.5 HDD " (that is what it is called) to USB Adapter.
It has an adapter at one end with a USB cable at the other end. Normally it is powered by power connector that may also be available in some variations of this Adapter. Some of them even have external power connection. This adapter will allow you to connect the Hard Disk Drive to a USB slot on another computer and hopefully read / copy its contents.

Remember this will only work if the Hard Disk Drive of your Laptop is not broken.

You need either an external enclosure or some other interface to stick the laptop drive into in order to get access to the files. The fact that you're asking this question on Y!A makes me think that you'll likely be unable to do this without getting the help of someone computer savvy. There's the distinct risk of data loss when doing this, if you do it wrong. Either get the help of someone computer savvy - or shop around to get a better price than seventy quid.

You need a "IDE/USB adaptor from Maplin.co.uk. or their high street outlets. Cost about £35 in catalogue but might be cheaper. Part number A25AT
