I know America left UK because it was I guess too 'up-tight' but now UK seems to be almost like America in general, did they ever make a reform like America did? (American Revolution)

England underwent THE GLORIOUS REVOLUTION, or BLOODLESS REVOLUTION, in 1688-89 that resulted in the deposition of James II and the accession of his daughter Mary II and her husband William III, prince of Orange. Parliament declared that James had abdicated the throne, in fact they forced him out of office, and placed another king on the throne.

The Constitutional history of England shows a process of constant reform, from Magna Carta in 1215 to the reform of the House of Lords in the last couple of years.

There have been reforms achieved by violence and revolution, such as Cromwell's Commonwealth of the c17, but generally the process has been peaceful.

Perhaps the major reform was the Bill of Rights of 1689, which confirmed (among other things) the primacy of Parliament over the Monarch.
