I know this is unpopular but I think Bush has done a good job. His approval rating was nearly 95% immediately after 9/11. He even warned that this new kind of war would take a long time. Libdems, though, saw that it was going to take more than 15 minutes so they decided that what we should do is surrender to Al Quaeda and leave Iraq, and then surrender to the Taliban and leave Afghanistan. Bush thought that it was better to fight terrorists on their soil rather than on ours, and I agree with that

I would say that he has used Fulda Gap and other such Cold War principles and applied them to a threat that does not emanate from a single nation state, but rather from the world over. I think he really had the opportunity to change the face of American foreign policy, but instead has kept our policy decades behind.

Afghan was initially a success. Then Bush lost focus and invaded Iraq. Everything else since has been totally disastrous.

I would grant him a B+ overall. To me, he should have hit them and hit them hard; of course, to those who mourn the deaths of a few thousand military in Iraq (they don't mind the hundreds of thousands who die on our streets, in homicides, domestic violence or medical errors), President Bush is too aggressive.
History has proved over and over that some people (such as the militant Muslims) understand only one thing: force. They think we are weak and attack us.

He's done OK. You have to admit he's the only one that has had the balls to fight terror. All the rest have turned a blind eye to it.

May have been well-intentioned, but the effort has been naive and inaccurately administered (at best).
