Ok i want to play poker on my computer but i dont want to gamble. Are there any free games where i can just train poker agasint computers?

First of all let me say that poker is not a gambling, over the long run poker is a game of great skill, it's just that a lot of people do not play the game the right way, they either put to much money into pots pre-flop or they under-bet pots and let others draw out on them, and some just play like nuts. But there are many sites you can go to and play against real people for free, fulltilit and poker-stars are the two top sites you can go to. All you have to do is download the software, make up a password and user name, then verify your e-mail address and then you can play for free, with play chips.Playing against computers is not a good idea at all, a computer will not play like a real person does, so it will be of no value to you, also if you have never played hold em before playing on-line for only free chips will hurt your game a lot. When it's free chips you are playing with people will make crazy calls, this can get you into some big trouble when you decide to play for real cash. Also playing on-line and in a real brick and mortar casino for real money can be diffrent as well, on-line i don't bluff as much as i do in a real game, on-line they tend to play a lot looser then at real casino tables. If i was you i would just start with some small money buy-ins and work on your game, once you feel like you are getting better you can move up a few steps. good luck

Most times if the other player is betting out a lot and is trying to scare you then it is more likely that he is bluffing you. I get scared when they make value bets all the way down or they check raise you, Because they want you to pay them off or they are trapping you. I love it when i know they are on a flush draw and they have missed it, so on the river they put out a huge bet to try and push you out, i love calling players like that down. But nothing scares me at a poker table, if your scared of putting your money in the middle then you need to be playing something else.

Poker Stars is the best but it requires a download. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!
ALSO you can play with real $$$ or fake chips against real people, you can chat with them etc.

full tilt poker has play money games you can play. very easy interface. also has real money games if and when you choose to play with real money. you can also play against celebrities (the best way, i think, for a beginner to learn).
