usually people try to fufil a role they wish to be in real live when they are online these people are usually not well liked and are cowards so they create viri to make them feel powerfull some would refer to this as sexual frustration these people know they have little chance of every getting laid and after getting turned down by a 20$ crack whore they feel the need to take it out on everyone els but they dont have the balls to do it in real life so they are big and powerfull behind there pc's. They media has called these people hackers and the media is wrong. A hacker is more of a scientist they explore a system not always to destroy it our exploit but mostly to understand how it works and make it better. These people that spread viri around the net are called script kiddys.

Getting viri on the internet is a normal part of life its a good ideal to keep backups. Done put anything on your pc that would really hurt you for others to see. When paying for things with a credit card call the 800 number on the site and pay by phone or call your back and change your card after shopping online. Dont ever use your real name on the pc. dont ever enter your social security number on the pc.

Most viri these days arent programed to destroy your pc these script kiddys have got smart. They eitehr try to capture your personal information for identy theift or they are designed to make your computer into a zombie box basically makes you pc parts of a large network of infected pc's use to attack websites this will slow your pc down alout and possibly get you in trouble with your internet provider. but the marjorty of infections now is just adware. its just makes alout of adds pop up on your pc and slows it down to a craw

I recomend spybot search and destroy to remove the spyware. avg is a great antiviris and keep your pc up to date if you dont have a legal copy of windows and cant use windows update or you dont use internet explorer use windizs its works great

most fo the software out there called freeware or shareware has spyware installed if you want a free program without spyware look for open source

At one time viruses, spyware and other malware were mostly written by script-kiddies (mostly pimply-faced male adolesents, who badly need a girlfriend) as a form of vandalism.

These days are unfortunately long gone.

Today, it's all about making money.

Perhaps Eugene Kaspersky, founder of anti-virus maker Kaspersky Labs said it best, " It's a different world today. 10 years ago, we were fighting against smart kids who hacked as a hobby. Now, we're dealing with criminal gangs that control your computer to make money. Different world, different protections."

It used to be fun...in some odd way, like BWC...but now, more and more, it's for profit. Like, spyware. Catch you typing in your email address, send off your email address, generate a target for spammers. Catch you typing your credit card number (and you can guess where THAT leads...). Catch you typing your street address and you start getting all those ads from Capital One and Eddie Bean and others...Catch you installing Photoshop and install a popup "ad window" that MIGHT persuade you to buy something.artistic... and on, and on.

Well,
they do that because their goal is to destroy data.
That has never happened to me before becaue of my increased security measures since 2005.
Anyways,
some hackers have become good.
A ex-hacker named Kevin (something) turned himself in and started working for this company thing.
