A sprite is a supernatural elfin creature: in folklore, a small supernatural being like an elf or a fairy, especially one associated with water.

A pixie is like a sprite, larger than a normal fairy, and very fun-loving. They enjoy tricking humans, especially travelers. While many other fairy-like beings do, pixies are the most associated with this.

Dryads are not truly related to the other two. They are a type of nymph. Dryads are known to be the "souls" of trees and reside in them. Check Greek mythology if you'd like to find out more.
