So, the first one is: sq.rt.[5(x+3)] = 10
If we square both sides of the equation (you have to do the same thing to both sides of the equation to keep the relationship equal), then we have 5(x+3) = 10 * 10 = 100.
Now it's a simple matter of dividing both sides by five and then solving for x.
The second one is similar, except you have to subtract 5 from both sides to start with, right?
The third one looks nasty, but it's really just a bit more complicated than the others:
5 * sqrt (x-9)/sqrt (4) = 15. Well, that's a matter of some re-arranging. First, you divide both sides by 5, right? So now you have sqrt (x-9)/sqrt (4) = 15/5. Then you can multiply both sides by the square root of 4. That leaves you with sqrt (x-9) = 15/5 * sqrt (4). You can simplify it, then square both sides and you're left with x-9 = 36, right?
Now, the rest are just like that - they may look complicated, but it's nothing you can't handle - just take it a piece at a time!

x=17. 5(x+3)=10 so 5 * 20 = 100, and 10 is the square root of 100, so x+3 means 17+3, because 17+3= 20.

Here is a sample (the first problem):

Sq root 0f 5(x+3) = 10
Squaring both sides , 5(x+3) = 100
x+ 3 = 20
x = 17

Do the rest of the problems by logically proceeding
step by step as in the example above.

1st statement

Then square both sides

5*(x + 3) = 100
5x + 15 = 100
5x = 85
x = (You do it)

2nd statement

5 + sqrt(x + 3) = 10

subtract 5 from both sides

sqrt (x + 3) = 5

then square both sides.

(x + 3) = 25

You solve it from here.
