I write a column for a local newspaper and need ideas for future columns. I like to write humor and I am drawing a blank. Anyone have any ideas to get me started?

Since it is a local newspaper, you want to write about local issues. What is going on in your community? Find out, get involved, and write a column about what happened when you did get involved.

Draw from your own experience. Leave a notepad next to the phone. When you notice you have a story you are telling your freinds over and over again, it's probably worth writing about.

I saw something interesting on how much time was spent on the Paris Hilton story. Maybe something like that vs. how much time is spent on other stories on the news.
