Companies getting a free pass (I'm sure they paid a fee...) to answer as an authority without opposition? Am I one of the few that sees this as a bad idea?

it sounds like an oxymoron actually, not to mention i'm sure these companies will go unchecked no matter what they say.

From what I have read it just doesn't seem like anything I want to be a part of, but I eally doubt that Yahoo has the users best interests at heart here.

This idea stinks to high hell. Does Yahoo really think we will just keep playing along here? I doubt they care. If I understand correctly, this is close to allowing a monopoly as you suggest. I really am opposed to that.
