I'm going to answer this as a repairman. Sounds like you have followed thru with all good suggestions so far. Here is what i recommend to my customers. 1. Make sure you run the water at your sink hot before starting d/w ( many times the first fill is only luke -warm) 2. don't overly pre-clean dishes ( just brush off the big items , leave the proteins. They make the phosphates in soap work!) 3. Check spray arm for plugged holes ( most times on calls I find these plugged with food or bits of plastic, which stops spray arm from spraying water at soap cups etc. ) 4. Switch soaps ( try using whatever soap has the highest count of phosphate.) Hope this helps, good luck to you !

This is simply hard water film you are getting on your dishes, you should try adding a cup of White Vinegar while using hot water, not heated from an element hot water, put it through a long wash then scrub down the walls with undiluted vinegar, this will clean off your hard water and will help you get cleaner dishes, trust me this method works everytime, you should do this method at least once a week to a few times a month as it sounds like you have very hard water, and you should stop using those liquid type dishwasher detergents these are not very good for hard water areas it is best to use the powdered kind for better washes, you should also instead of using Jet Dry in your dishwasher fill the dispenser with Vinegar this will help you dishes come out spotless and cleaner, also don't use the kind with Baking soda in them I find them terrible for hard water areas they tend to not clean as well and do leave a powdery film on your dishes.
You can also use Tang or some citrus type powdered drink to clean your dishwasher just use a quarter to half cup in a empty dishwasher and use hot water just as you would the vinegar method. Good Luck !

Many states have outlawed phosphate as an ingredient in dishwasher detergents. In areas with hard water most detergents don't work as well as before the law change. Here's a new product that was designed to solve this problem. It's all-natural, contains no phosphate, and works great with cheap generic detergent. Free sample is available. www.CloudyDishes.com

Could be a low water fill problem or maybe a water temperature problem. "The water should be at least 120 to 130 degrees Fahrenheit to start with. Gel soaps can cause a lot of problems with scum and leaving a white residue, mostly when there is not enough water in the dishwasher. After it fills there should be water almost up to the heating element. Also look for the water draining by itself."

Liquid detergents are clay based and can clog up your dishwasher. I use powder detergent and Jet Dry. I also have soft water. It could be a lime scale build up. Do you change or refill your Jet dry properly? Is your dishwasher filling with water properly?

Stop using Jet Dry and add 1 cup of vinegar to the rinse cycle of your dishwasher every time you run it. You will see results in about a week.

this happens when you have hard water. there's not to much you can do but get a water softener ,maybe try something like "jet dry". I took a gallon of white vinegar and ran a cycle on my daughters dish washer it help for a little while but its not a fix all.

Sounds like hard water. Wash some dishes in the sink and let them dry. If the powder is not on them, then I don't know what to say.

Are you overloading your dishwasher by any chance? But "hard" water will do that also. Leaves a calcium deposit. Might try using a different brand of dishwashing liquid.
