Is there any software anywhere that will allow me to read tomtom maps on my computer i.e. as images?

depends, if its nokia version/ window mobile, you can run an emulator, and open the maps /a any program. better off using autoroute / local.live ./ google earth

you can get the emulators free, theyre for software developers to make the apps run. check nokia eg http://www.nokia.com/developers

If you've got a TomTom you can run a simulation on screen with TomTom Home, and do a screen grab. However you could get easier, and possibly better results using Google Maps or any of the other web mapping applications.
