Im am completely open to new mysteries, if anyone has read anything new and exciting i would like to know the name of the book along with a quick summary.
Because mysteries seem to have lost their flavor.
Be truthful, in your opinions; i want to know the best the world has to offer. I would really appreciate the help. Thank you

I really like British mysteries like Agatha Christie...but modern English mysteries are still as interesting...my favorite author right now is Val McDermid. Her books have been made into TV movies. 'Wire in the Blood' Her books are generally about serial killers, profiling and psychology...I find it an easy and interesting read.
Check out the website below to preview her books for free...

William Diehl wrote Primal Fear, I think....the movie was tight. Can't beat Thomas Harris for Red Dragon and Silence of the Lambs but DON"T grab his news ones...not nearly as good.

Here is a link to the Edgar Awards (as in Poe) that lists books that are up for mystery awards and has a great list of the 100 best.

Well this isn't really a mystery but its a good read. The Lovely Bones is about a girl who gets raped and killed. She watches her family from heaven as they try to find her killer.
