OMG, the best. Small simple menu, each burger made fresh to order. The willl wrap it special for you to eat in your car.
No freezers, no microwaves. Potatoes cut fresh. Sponge buns.
I would not go out of my way for In-N-Out fries. But for some reason with their burgers they seem like a fit and seem better. Strange.

BEST!!! people on the east coast are really missing out. Everything is made 100% fresh. Their fries from fresh potatoes that they slice in the restaurant. Produce from local vendors. a lot of people don't like their fries, but other do. I haven't met anyone who didn't like their burgers. You can ask for anything your mind can think up, as long as they have the ingredients. Grilled cheese, hamburger w/ grilled onions, no bun, no extra charge for special things unless extra cheese or patties. You can get a burger as big as you want, I've heard people getting a burger with 4 patties and 4 pieces of cheese. you can get as little as one patty or as many as you want. very simple. Milk shakes are so good too!!

In N Out is great. True the fries are fresh and a little odd tasting if left to cool. The burgers are great. It is a nice alternative to the greasy McD, Burger King, Carls variety. Very simple straight forward menu with good stuff.
The shakes rock, too!

It is only in those three states and they have fantastic food that is always FRESH!!! There is a place in Utah called Chadder's that is a Carbon Copy of it, but In N Out will never expand beyond the west coast.

It is so good because they do not have freezers. Their burgers are made from fresh meat, they peel their own potatoes for their fries, no microwaves, etc. I have been to In & out and have seen the big pans of peeled potatoes. I wish they would get one in Washington state!
