Your best best would be to buy a packet of seeds online from a UK supplier and grow them yourself - they're very delicate and I doubt would travel well. If you want one of the artificial ones that is worn on 11/11, then contact The Royal British Legion and ask if they can send you one - they are purchased with a donation to their charity, so as long as you offered a little more than the cost of the postage, I don't see why it would be a problem

Hey, this is a great idea, and hopefully you'll have more luck than I had. To begin with, the most popular poppy in the USA is the California golden poppy, the state flower of California, but this is NOT what they use in Britain. What they use there, of course, is the red poppy, which is actually more closely related to the opium flower than the California variety. But they are near impossible to find here in the USA. You might have more luck in Canada.

Come on up to Canada just before Nov 11th, I'll give you one
(That time of year we always know if we are watching a Canadian or American station news by who's wearing a poppy)

I buy mine through most FTD florists since I bring them up to Canada every few years. They are readily available but often you have to call a couple of weeks in advance to make sure they can get them.
