Yes. During the summer months I am a Skywarn Severe Storm Spotter for the National Weather Service NWS here in Florida. When Doppler Radar detects a severe storm, we are activated to go in the field and monitor the storm for Tornadic activity, rainfall amounts, hail and damaging winds.
It's risky but the thrill of the hunt and sometimes being the hunted is beyond explanation.

Yes, I got conditioned to danger and uncertainty when I was a cop for 21 years. I spent 16 of those on a motorcycle, and it was so funny to watch the car guys when they have a close call like an almost traffic accident. Sometimes they would get shaken up and I would say "dude, come ride motors, it happens all the time!"
We were trained to towards the sound of gunfire and fights, etc. instead of running away like normal sane people. But I loved doing the job.

This is a very delicate subject because it is very personal to me. I am one that does not attend a church building right now and have not for many years. I do study a lot online and "attend" services online along with almost daily television teachings. I have a few friends that get together regularly to talk and fellowship. I do sometimes feel isolated. I also feel safe. I have been deeply wounded by "church Christians". and when I left one group to seek another I was wounded again and again and again. I have heard it said that Christians are one of the few that kill their wounded. I had to come to a place in my life where I needed to isolate and focus on God and his word in a "safe" environment. That doesn't mean that one day I will not attend another church building service or join in the fellowship of many other Christian believers. But right now, I personally need Christians to understand, love me, pray for me and be willing to reach out to me where I am. To discuss personal beliefs and the reason behind them and help me heal and find the courage to go back to the brick and mortar building full of people. You ended your question with- What would Jesus do? His entire ministry is the answer. He met the people where they were. He didn't condemn nor judge. He loved them and healed them and promised to bring us home.

I don't perceive myself as being drawn to danger,...I am drawn to things that I perceive as exciting,or adventurous.
Others, such as yourself, may interpret the action to be dangerous, but,I may not necessarily see it that way.

Yeah, for some reason I think I'm invincible. Intellectually I know that's not the case, but I just don't experience fear like normal people do.
