The Sri lankan team is in very good shape but when the veterans leave like Jayasuriya and Muralitharan leave there gaps will never be filled. The side would grow even weaker when Vass leaves in 2011, but the team would bring up young talent like upul tharanga, lasith malinga, and malinga bandara.

A team which came up to a good standard when they were in a quite weak position very quickly within few months & now it has the capable of beating any team in the world but on the finals of the 07 WC they unfortunately couldnt do it cus of the rain as the whole world knows.

they are like a flickering light bulb really. one time they play while they've totally lost it and other times they just smack the game! there are very surprising players. dilhara sometimes gives away like 8 runs per over but over the recent matches that he PLAYED, he absolutely shined.
when the greatest of players like sanath is shifting away from the game as he is very close to retiring, we have players like mahela who'd now definitely past the margin of 40 when batting, and also the quick scoring guys like dilshan, vaas and probably the young player upul t.
we can't forget malinga the slinger and murali who's still got it since 1996. so they have a very consistent and quality players; they have little of everything. bless them!

If they could train hard and learn to kick skids (pallets) and break them.. I think they will be ok .
