If its job related, they will either get tazed or my partner will take over and he is a 115 pound 4 legged land shark.....I ask nicely only once,,,,

Recognize fact that a person has a choice to say yes or no and accept their answer. Unless you are a spoiled brat who must have their way, then you just cry and rant and rave or what ever works for you.

My ex was good for this. I would get up, do it myself, and the next thing he asked me for, I'd say 'do it yourself' which was always 'you-know-what'
