Worst:
George W, Bush (Iraq and selling F14 fighter parts to Iran)"Bush has failed to confront his own failures in both domestic and international affairs, above all in his ill-conceived responses to radical Islamic terrorism. Having confused steely resolve with what Ralph Waldo Emerson called "a foolish consistency . . . adored by little statesmen," Bush has become entangled in tragedies of his own making, compounding those visited upon the country by outside forces."1
Richard Nixon (Watergate and Vietnam)
Ronald Reagan (Iran /Contra Selling weapons to Iran and cutting and running after 242 Marines were killed in a barracks bomb in Beirut
Andrew Johnson
Abraham Lincoln (decisions to suspend habeas corpus while Congress was out of session in 1861 and 1862)
Gerald Ford (pardoning Nixon_ I think our only unelected president)
BEST:
Washington (leader of the Birth of a Nation)
Abraham Lincoln in the Civil War,
FDR in World War II,
Woodrow Wilson in WW I
John F. Kennedy
Clinton, put this country back on track in spite of the Republicans! Had a balanced budget!

Best:
Ronald Reagan: The best in handling problems.
Abraham Lincoln: He did the best in order to keep a great economy and free slaves.
Both Teddy and FD Roosevelts: They both wanted good for the country.
George W. Bush: Liberals never admit the successes of his administration, just the way the GOP does not acknowledge Clintons successes. And he could be ranked as others who were unpopular as presidents who became rated as good like Eisenhower, Truman, Nixon, and LB Johnson.
Worst:
Andrew Johnson
Warren Harding
James Buchannan
Jimmy Carter
CSpan gives the rankings and none of the worst had been mentioned.

I like your good list. Every person on their has accomplished a lot. I'm a big Reagan fan, but don't know if I'd promote him to the top 4 of all time.
On the worst list, there have got to be some worse back in history. JFK had his accomplishments as well as defeats. I do not believe W. should be in that list either. I'd certainly put Carter before W in the worst list, as W. has had some accomplishments, in the areas of tax cuts, the economy, education reform, senior prescription drug benefit, and initial response to 9/11, not including the Iraq war.

Warren Harding was bad alright but at least he loved the country. The worst president in my opinion was Jimmy Carter. He was as bumbling as Harding and is now as anti-American as Rev. Wright. He's an embarrassment to us all.
