so obsessed with LOVE??
I know that I am a Romantic at heart but what is it about Love that mystifies us so much?

Because it is one of those few things untouched by intellect. It is mysterious.
We need it to truly live. And it isnt just a romantic or sensual thing...any true friendship involves love.
(All that crap about love evolving for procreation is a load of bullshit. Grrr that makes me angry.)

Didn't know the world evolved around you and your feelings. I'm not obsesed with love, I don't think most people are. I would say that the majority of young people start to have feelings of love,lust and romance as they go throug hpuberty, teens and young adulthood and often they get all mixed up, mostly becasue they listen to to many tv shows and songs about what is love and romance etc. eventually reality startsto set in, along with life's experiences, and you learn not to be controlled by an ocean of emotions,and after a few years some get them a little sorted out. but you can't really say that everyone is obsessed with live, just because you seem to be.

Some people are scared that they'll never find love and live a lonely life...all alone. And love is just such a wonderfull thing to have!! When you're in love, you can give a damn about anything else that's happening in the world. It's all about you and the one you love. Everyone wants to have that feeling. And if more people had that feeling I'm sure this world would be a much, much better place!

There is a difference between Real Love and Romantic Love...
but what is mystifying is that
REAL love is unconditional, I think it's the only thing in life that is.

The belief that one is unloved is a difficult thing to experience. As a result, people scramble to find and be loved. A person who needs to be loved is easily manipulated. The fear of having that love taken away will keep them on the ropes for ages. The romantic has difficulty tolerating being alone as to be alone usually translates as being unloved.
As sad state of existence.

Love is such a mystery because it is so illusive, and can mean many different things! Like love between a man and a woman, love between parent and child, love between mother and child, love of country, love of money etc. etc.! Everyone wants love and seeks love! Some find it some Don't! Sometimes the ones that find it, after having found it, realize that it was not love after all, and continue to search again etc.etc!

Love is just a word. People tend to get confused with the meaning it implies in all of us it differs from person to person. I believe that we choose to love because it give us a meaning in our otherwise short and pathetic lives.

It's them damn hormones. But isn't there something very pure about a lasting love? A purity which eludes our reality? Love can transcend our base nature! Ironic, considering it's all tied up in our base natures...

Life is surviving and passing on your genes. It's hardwired in us.
Billions of years of selective evolution to make sure that we mate and procreate. Those that did not did not survive to pass on the trait.
We are ruled by hormones and addicted to oxytocin. We are intoxicated by love.
