It depends on what you would define as a "true American". If you are trying to define the embodiment of current trends of laziness, obesity, media obsessed, and slander-happy as the true American characteristics, Mr. Moore is a good choice. Beyond that I feel you are gravely mistaken. It has been documented that he bends and edits the truth to present any idea he wants.
I would call Bush one American (flawed, but still American), and Moore I would call a "don't want to be American but too lazy to leave so I'll just complain a lot slob"

I would say Moore and Sheehan are Americans. Moore is a $#%&*@#. Sheehan is a grieving mother who is plainly wrong.
Both are entitled to their opinions...what is sad is not their opinions so much...but that so many embrace those opinions (and more).

Your comments are seditious. You've yet to learn the difference between patriotic disagreement/dissent/protest vs. sedition.
You consider rumor-mongering, name-calling, and treating our representatives as "guilty until proved innocent" as appropriate behaviors. That is your opinion.
They will NEVER be patriotic.
They were contemptible behaviors when applied to Former President Clinton, they are still contemptible when applied to President Bush.
It is no longer "cool" to hate America. You've chosen sides. So have we.
