After working in public records for a few years, I can't think of many pet names I haven't seen as people names too. For example, there are actually twin guys in my town named Corvette and Camaro. I am not making this up, the names get stranger and stranger in the human world.

Poochie is a good nickname but just think what he will have to put up with having a name like that.

I want to name my puppy, whn/if I get one Jack. But I don'ty want to name my child that. I had to babysit an child name Jack and he threw rocks at me. lol. I agree I think that poochie is a great child name and works for either gender.

I should have named my daughter "Chaos" rather than giving my Basenji dog the name. My Maine Coon Cat gets called "Fuzz-butt "a lot, and that would be rather inappropriate for a child. You can call a poodle "Killer", but I'd think "Killer" would set your kid up for disaster later in life....
