James Randi once perform the following experiment: He gathered a bunch of people in a classroom and give them their horoscope according to their date of birth, and them asked who thought it was accurate, most people raised their hands... then Randi revealed that ALL horoscopes said the exact same thing, meaning that people would buy anything... you can watch the video in youtube

It has existed for since before the time of Christ, there's either got to be something to it, or humans like to fool themselves into thinking that events and behavior can be predicted.

its really a mind trick, but most of the time they are so out of whack or dont make sense at all its hard to believe

Not really. Mostly it is about vague predictions and coincidences to which people tend to attribute undue significance.

some of it can be, and it is very interesting to study. free will is much more important, though. it can be fun to see the outline of what you are supposed to be like, but dont base your life off of it.
