Some people are very gullible, and will believe whatever they hear. Some may have known that it was meant to be fiction, but others quickly believed it simply because it almost sounds real. Although it is technically REALISTic type of fiction, showing what is not in the Bible, but what could have happened. Since the Bible doesn't say any of that, I do not believe in the Da Vinci code, of course. But some people out there are exposed to that and do not know whether something is real or fiction. Usually most believe it to be real.

Because you can't believe evrything you hear or read

Did you know that in ancient time people used to burn books because they didn't like what they said. Especially the europeans they have completely destroyed some cultures' history and knowledge such as the egyptians

Personally I don't believe all that crap about history that they teach in school. They always tell about the good things those people did what about the bad what about what mostly counts.

We have no way of really knowing what happened in the past unless we were there.
Written documents can be rewritten to a point of view which satisfies the rewriter.
Take for example when the roman catho. church forced everyone on their religion I am pretty sure that they burned down other peoples religions in the process as well as valuable pieces of information that could have been vital to the acknowledgement of this world

This is what i believe:
The truth is a shattered mirror were some pieces are missing
no religion is wrong yet they are all PARTIALLY right.

The reason alot of people believed this is because they thought it was one of the missing pieces. Yet it was just the fantasy of a feeble old guy.

The truth is that we really don't know anything and we have to work with what we have

Hope this answered your question

Because a lot of people believe stories from movies and books because they aren't aware of the true facts. It sounds or looks real so it must be true. In regards to"The Da Vinci Code" Dan Brown did an excellent job of integrating facts with fiction. Some people are just gullible, too. Dan is an excellent writer, but I believe he really took advantage of us in this book. That's ok because I really enjoyed it. I wish they had done a better job with the movie.

People who believe the "da vinci code" are fools who have let their human nature to want to believe in something take them over and make them go off the deep end, believing in a fictional story for entertainment purposes.

Every one loves a conspiracy and Jesus having descendants and the church covering it up would be the ultimate one. This, coupled with the book's "fact" page, lead people to believe the entire book is true, despite the fact that is admittedly fiction. The book is very well written and the "facts" in the book are presented so well, it is easy for people to believe it.

Because too many people have no religion of their own & will accept just about anything that they read, see, hear, etc.

Because too few people will take the time to do any research before they believe something.

Because there are so many people out there looking for ways to slam Judeo-Christianity & this seemed perfect to them.

Silly isn't it. I remember when it came out and there were protesters. Geez, It's just a movie. Even the book said it was fiction. Made up, not real.
