Vending machines; un-developed land; parter on a real estate 'flip'; valet van pool for businesses with more than 100 employees (tax credit); outdoor adventurer; hot dog stand; ebay broker; small gormet coffee shop; temp employee firm; head hunter;
I see hiring someone to manage these at minimum or slightly better so you don't have to.

Why not go into business on line and own your own travel agency and is doesn't cost anywhere near 15000. Go to http://www.bbcarefreetravel.com and view the presentation. If interested use the e-mail or phone number listed on the site for more information.

With $15,000 you can actually buy a $75,000 or more business. You can use the $15K as the downpayment and get a small business loan. I helped someone buy a rather nice coffee shop for $50,000.

Check out Entrepreneur Magazine online: http://www.entrepreneur.com and click on the franchises & opportunities link and look at the "home based" franchises. There are a lot of them that you can get into with as little as $5K. Oh, and these are all legitimate opportunities, not fly by night crap.

I wouldn't start a business at all. Invest into the stock market for solid returns.
