Whenever i apply eyeliner, a couple hour later it has collected in a crease under my eye. It looks really tacky and i have to go wipe it and re-apply. I have created a picture so you can sortof understand what it looks like:

Is there anything I can do to prevent this? I have tried waterproof eveyliner and that doesnt work. I have also tried using eyeshadow for eyeliner and that doesnt work.

I know watcha mean, esp in summertime with the humidity and whatnot. Try this:
If you don't already, use a little concealor on your undereye and blend into skin. Then use your eyeliner - which i use covergirl perfect point plus($5)
- which is a nice creamy mechanical eyeliner. It's not a pencil so won't smudge easily, and it's not as dramatic as a liquid. Plus, it has a smudger on the end if you'd like a smokier eye look. Anyways, in brown/black line your eye with this liner. Then take a face brush and swirl into your compact powder, or even better loose face powder and brush along undereye to set. You may for a pop, if you'd like, is take a eyeshadow brush and dip in brown or darker (or for fun another color) and go lightly over your eyeliner again - top and bottom if you line both. I like doing this step sometimes with a pretty blue or green to set the liner, but you can do it in the same color as you lined your eye as well. Hope this wrks for ya?!

You really don't need eyeliner on the bottom lids. It usually makes your eyes appear smaller. Just line your top lids as close to the lashes as possible & that should be all that you need. If you really feel like you need liner on the bottom & smearing is a big problem, maybe you could get the permanent eyeliner (tatooing). It costs about $250-$300. I will probably do that in the near future because I don't have a lot of lashes & I want to save the time putting on make-up. It really looks natural. You'd probably save a lot of money in the long run & you wouldn't have any more smearing. Good luck.

I totally know what you mean!! I live in Florida where there's TONS of humidity and water in the air and I wear eyeliner everyday.

Here are some tips for wearing eyeliner:

#1. There are more than one type of eyeliner! Experiment a bit. Here are some types of liner:

* Pencil Eyeliner => Revlon
* Liquid Eyeliner => Urban Decay***
* Gel Eyeliner => Bobbi Brown
* Felt-Tip Eyeliner => LineWorks
* Cake Eyeliner => Ben Nye

You can get this all @: http://www.sephora.com

#2. Sometimes the oils on your skin can make the eyeliner drip or spread on the face. So before applying the liner you should clean your face (especially around the eye area). You should wash your face with Ole Oil Remover Pads or with Aveno Baby Wash. After washing your face, dry it thoroughly. I suggest that you take a Q-Tip and dab a bit of baby powder on the crease of your eye, so that it stays dry and clean :].

#3. If all fails pack a pouch of baby wipes in your bag and everytime it goes to the crease of your eye pull out the wipe and clean off the crease of your eye instead of completely re-applying.

Hope this helped!!

I went through so many brands on a mission to prevent this and finally found Clinique's mechanical eye pencil. Stays on all day for me--like 14 hours. And it might get a little lighter by the end of the day but doesnt collect under the eye--dont know where the heck it goes, but I'm not complaining!

Don't put too much eyeliner on the bottom. And don't apply mascara to bottom lashes. Try smudge proof eyeliner. I get maybelline unstoppable. it's non-smudge proof and waterproof. Get it @ walmart ferr only liike 6-7$. Don't wipe the eyeliner that creases under yerr eyes with yerr fingers. Carry tissues and use those instead if you are tempted to.

I use Cover Girls "Perfect Point Plus" eye pencil (about $4.00). It works wonders and I have never gotten that line. Plus, it never needs to be sharpened and it has an eraser on the end in case you happen to smudge when applying. I hope this helps.
