why not get him something new for a hobby he has always enjoyed like if he is into fishing get him a new rod and reel comb but make sure to get the right type if he is a open faced reel guy do not buy a spin cast reel or buy him some thing that is along that line try to get him something to take his mind off his age let him know that he can still do the things he has always done "they sell kiddie sets for beginners every wear you can buy them"

Rent a coffin and wheel it into the living room after you sing happy birthday. Tell him he can start sleeping in it for practice! He might leave town for a few weeks but it'd be funny!
