of the 2 i think ichiro would be a better fit in boston. jones would probally hit 60 homers playing at fenway but the sox already have mashers with papi and manram. ichiro would fill the void that damon left in the leadoff spot. besides ichiro is hitting about 120 points higher right now. torii hunter is out there, too.

I only think they'd consider picking up a CF such as Ichrio of Jones if they trade/release Ramirez and/or Drew. They're getting paid WAY too much for the meager productivity they turn in with very limited Defensive skills. I'd prefer to go after Rowand or Dunn. Pena could play CF, if they release Crisp, and they'd have several options for LF/RF.

Absolutely YES!! Coco Crisp has been a BIG disappointment, and Willie Mo Pena leaves every fan with an upset stomach EVERY time he goes to field a ball. He has to be the WORST outfielder in MLB history. Get rid of both Crisp and Pena and get Andruw Jones, the best there is.

I would be so excited if they got Ichiro. We would then knock Lugo out of the leadoff spot and have a quality guy as your number one hitter in the lineup. In addition you would have a quality defensive player. Jones is a great defensive player, but his hitting is not the greatest. Ichiro has it all and rumor he and Dice-K get along, which bodes well for him coming here and that he does not really get along with Matsui in New York. Not sure if that is true or not.

Suzuki adds that element of getting on base and stealing! They already have to many power hitters in their lineup!

Nahh keep Crisp there he makes amazing cathes but hitwise I think go for Ichiro.
