I'm not sure if one will, I personally don't think any nation is fool hearty enough to detonate a nuclear bomb. It would set off a chain of events that would pretty much destroy most of the powerful nations and their urban centers. I'd suppose if I had to take a guess, I would say that a smaller country might attempt to detonate one within another rival country, perhaps a "3rd" world country fighting over border disputes and all the other things that can arise with humans. The middle east is a hot spot right now, but I personally doubt any will be detonated in our time. We'll see however.

The next nucular bomb is going to be detonated at the comet that might destroy Earth. They are planning on blowing it up next to it so it will be launched away from Earth. They can't detonate it on the comet because it won't blow up the comet.

Might not. I think the major countries have a much more robust nuclear defense system then they will admit to. If there is one, I think it will be an isolated, ground based incident.

I mean come on, we're seriously talking about shooting asteroids out of space within the next five years. Why wouldn't we be able to shoot an ICBM out of the sky? It's certainly not a trust issue between us and whatever psycho might get ahold of one.

Odds are it will be either the US or Israel detonating a few in Iran--and I hope to God it does NOT happen...but thats the way the odds are breaking.

Most likely, somewhere over the middle East. It would probably have something to do with the States.

On a huge asteroid the size of New York and the US and Russia will cooperate to send a team to space to blow it up to save the earth.

I can't say where, but I can say it won't be in the US---because the initiator, whoever they may be, knows damn good and well that they won't have a country to live in afterwards.
